Ferrol is a historic naval city in Galicia, northwestern Spain, known as the birthplace of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco and for its important naval shipyard. An occasional cruise port in the Galicia region, it offers access to the Galician coast and proximity to Santiago de Compostela.
