About CruiseCaptain
A real-time cruise price tracker built for travelers who want to understand the market before they book — not wade through booking portals.
Who we are
CruiseCaptain is an independent project. It is not affiliated with any cruise line, travel agency, or booking platform. It was built to give travelers the same pricing transparency that travel agents have — without the commission pressure.
The site is maintained by a small team. Questions, press enquiries, and data requests go to [email protected].

How pricing works
Pricing data comes from TravelTek, a cruise distribution platform connected to the inventory systems of major cruise lines. The same feed powers thousands of travel agencies worldwide. We are connected directly to this feed — not scraping cruise-line websites.
What "price" means: all prices shown are per-person, based on double occupancy (two adults sharing a cabin) — the standard cruise-industry pricing convention. Prices are in USD and include estimated taxes and port fees. They do not include optional add-ons (beverage packages, shore excursions, gratuities).
Update cadence: the inventory feed delivers updates continuously throughout the day. Prices displayed on CruiseCaptain reflect the most recently observed fare for each cabin type. A "last updated" timestamp appears on each sailing page.
Price history: we store every price observation and display the full history as a chart. The chart baseline is the lowest available fare by cabin type on each observed date — not an average, not a modeled estimate. When a cabin type sold out or was not priced on a given day, the chart line ends there rather than carrying a stale value forward.
Sold out: a sailing shown as sold out means no bookable cabins appeared in the last observed feed cycle. Availability can reopen; we record that when it does.
Using our data
Prices on CruiseCaptain are indicative, not guaranteed. They are sourced from a distribution feed and may differ from the fare a cruise line or travel agent quotes at booking time due to timing, promotions, or availability.
Journalists and researchers: you are welcome to cite prices and trends from CruiseCaptain with attribution ("according to CruiseCaptain, a cruise price tracker"). Please include the date you observed the figure — prices move. For data sets or custom queries, email us.
Automated access: automated scraping of the site is not permitted under our terms of service. If you need structured data for research or integration purposes, contact us to discuss API access.
AI training: the prices, price-history charts, and aggregated fare data on this site are derived from a licensed distribution feed. Re-use of this data in AI training sets without a data licensing agreement is not permitted.
Business model
CruiseCaptain is a comparison and discovery service, not a booking platform. We do not sell cruises or process bookings. When you click through to book, some links are affiliate links — we may earn a commission from the booking platform at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate relationships do not influence which sailings appear in search results, how they are ranked, or what prices are displayed. Rankings are based on relevance and price. Full disclosure: affiliate disclosure.
