South Pacific cruises

Australia, New Zealand and islands across the southern Pacific share this destination page, but they do not share one seasonal calendar. Sydney and Auckland itineraries need a different comparison from a trip focused on Tahiti, Fiji or New Caledonia. Start with the region and the places you want to see, then check which sailings actually visit them.

Read the route for its balance of island calls and days at sea. A voyage connecting distant places can be quite different from one concentrated around a smaller group of islands, even if both use the same destination label. Check the embarkation and arrival ports before comparing fares, and account for any travel or overnight stays you need at either end. The cabin price alone does not describe that whole journey.

When climate figures are shown, Sydney is the local reference. Its summer and winter cannot stand in for the tropical island calendar or New Zealand's conditions. Check seasonal hazards for the particular places and dates on your shortlist. Monthly medians can help compare the recorded sailing listings, but they are not evidence that one month offers the best weather across the South Pacific.
