The short version
CruiseCaptain is a free, independent cruise price-comparison service. Some links on our site may be affiliate links — meaning that, where we have an affiliate relationship with a partner, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you, if you book a cruise, shore excursion, or other travel product after clicking through. These relationships never change the prices you pay, and never change how we rank or compare sailings.
How it works
The FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require any "material connection" between a publisher and the products it links to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. Here is ours, in plain language:
- Some "View on …" and booking links — for cruises, shore excursions, and other travel products — may be affiliate links. If you book or buy after following one, the partner may pay us a referral commission.
- This costs you nothing extra. You pay the same price you would by going to the partner directly.
- We still don't sell cruises or process payments ourselves. Any booking is a transaction directly between you and the cruise line, travel agent, or provider.
- Not every link is an affiliate link, and a commission is never guaranteed.
It does not affect what we show you
Our search results, comparisons, and "deals" are ordered by the data — price, your filters, and relevance — not by which partner pays us the most, and not by whether a link earns a commission at all. No cruise line pays us to feature, rank, or promote their sailings, and we will never present a paid placement as if it were a neutral recommendation. Where you'll see this
Beyond this page, when a link is an affiliate link we flag it with a brief note near the link itself so you know before you click — not buried in the footer. If our partner relationships change, we will update this page to describe exactly how they work.
