Sailings usually finish fine, but reroutes happen on Atlantic and Bahamas itineraries. Nothing in the region actually closes; winter simply moves the fleet south.

January, at a median of $110 per person per night across 279 sailings. That's 40% below June. The catch is what’s sailing: January’s inventory is dominated by short Florida and Bahamas runs, not the fall New England itineraries this region is famous for. For those, October at $127 is the value pick.

At current median ‘from’ fares, a 7-night North America sailing works out to roughly $768 in January, $892 in October, and $1,286 in June. For a balcony, figure $1,065 to $2,031. Taxes and fees vary by line.

Crossings cluster in two repositioning windows: eastbound in April–May, as ships leave the Caribbean for Europe, and westbound in October–November as they come home. Repositioning fares run low per night, since lines would rather discount a crossing than sail it empty. The trade is a week of sea days plus, in autumn, a North Atlantic that can kick up.

Two different answers. The tropical Atlantic peaks with hurricane season around September 10; the North Atlantic proper is roughest in winter, roughly November through March, when the big mid-latitude storms run. That's why the October–November crossing window is the bumpier of the two. Summer Bermuda runs are usually the smooth end of the spectrum.
