Day 1 Aug 7, 2026 Dusseldorf Departs 16:30 Whether you’re strolling along one of Germany’s leading luxury shopping streets, the ‘Kö’, enjoying an Altbier fresh from the tap in one of the old town’s more than 300 pubs or discovering one of the city’s many green spaces, such as the Hofgarten, on foot, Düsseldorf has almost everything you could wish for. Most of the city’s population seems to frequent the Uerige – the archetypical Düsseldorf brewery – even though the name of the establishment comes from a local word for ‘grumpy’. Day 2 Aug 8, 2026 Koblenz 07:00 – 13:00 6.0 hrs ashore What do you get when you cross modern rationality with southern nonchalance? Koblenz. This is where you’ll find Roman history, a high-tech research hub and a buzzing cultural scene all in one place. Don’t miss the delightful Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen, the southern part of the Rhine promenade. It was turned into a landscaped park with artistic historical monuments and sculptures between 1856 and 1861. If you fancy a treat, try Debbekooche. The village at the foot of the Siebengebirge has around 41,000 inhabitants. Numerous monuments and museums worth seeing make a visit to the city an unforgettable experience. For example, the Siebengebirgsmuseum provides detailed information about the legendary mountain landscape, which is after all the oldest nature reserve in Germany. In Sea Life, visitors can experience the underwater world up close and the Nibelungenhalle is not only an architectural masterpiece but also houses a reptile zoo. Drachenburg Castle towers high up on the Drachenfels and is one of the landmarks of Königswinter. The imposing structure is reminiscent of a fairytale castle and provides a wonderful view of the region. The Hirschburg is also a historic building in this city. The historic villa is located in a quiet area in the region around the nightingale valley. A kilometer-long tunnel system called Ofenkaulen leads through the middle of the Siebengebirge. The origin of these tunnels is said to go back to the Middle Ages.
