This is where you’ll find Roman history, a high-tech research hub and a buzzing cultural scene all in one place. Don’t miss the delightful Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen, the southern part of the Rhine promenade. It was turned into a landscaped park with artistic historical monuments and sculptures between 1856 and 1861. If you fancy a treat, try Debbekooche. Originally eaten by those who couldn’t afford goose on Saint Martin’s Day, it is now considered a regional speciality and is traditionally served with apple sauce. Delicious! Day 2 Sep 11, 2026 Traben Trabach Arrives 08:30 The small wine town of Traben-Trarbach is located directly on the Moselle in a beautiful valley. Surrounded by numerous wine-growing areas, it is one of the most beautiful places in the area, romantic, rustic and modern. In addition to wine tastings and a boat trip on the Moselle, you can go on a hike to Grevenburg, a ruin high up on the mountain, but the Buddha Museum should also be on the itinerary. Cochem is also home to the Pestkapelle (Plague Chapel) and the Kapelle zu den drei Kreuzen (Chapel of the Three Crosses). Our first own new building, the VIVA ONE invites with 88 cabins up to 176 passengers on feel-good moments on board. On the diamond deck there are four luxurious suites, which with 24 m² size and a balcony (approx. 2 m²) invite you to enjoy the beautiful view. On the Diamond Deck, as well as on the Ruby Deck, there are 19 m² Junior Suites, which have a French balcony. The main part of the cabins is made up by 2-bed cabins with 16 m² size. These have French balconies on the Diamond and Ruby decks and non-opening windows on the Emerald deck. All cabins are perfectly equipped with flat-screen TV, included mini-bar, Nespresso® machine, Beauty products from RITUALS®, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, shower and toilet. From a technical and sustainable perspective, the VIVA ONE impresses with some special features and innovations. A total of 68 solar cells, distributed on both sides of the sun deck, support the on-board power system. The energy generated is also used primarily for the ship's bow thruster and for high power usage. In general, a lot of emphasis was placed on low energy consumption for lighting, pumps, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and galley and laundry equipment during the design process. The water treatment system is also state-of-the-art. Guests can refill their reusable VIVA drinking bottles at any time at two water stations in the lobby and at the bar, while VIVA glass carafes are available in the restaurant. To reduce fuel consumption, the ship features an efficient hull form, powertrain and fuel-saving autopilot to simplify navigation.
