Vieques is a small island municipality of Puerto Rico, 13 km east of the main island. The former U.S. Navy bombing range is now the Vieques National Wildlife Refuge. Bioluminescent Bay (Mosquito Bay) is considered the world's brightest bioluminescent bay, with microorganisms turning the water into glowing blue at night. The long beach of Sun Bay is pristine.
