The Tuamotus, also referred to in English as the Tuamotu Archipelago or the Tuamotu Islands, are a French Polynesian chain of just under 80 islands and atolls in the southern Pacific Ocean. They constitute the largest chain of atolls in the world, extending over an area roughly the size of Western Europe.

The Tuamotu Archipelago is the world's largest chain of atolls, stretching 1,400 km through central French Polynesia. Rangiroa is the largest atoll and the main cruise stop, with two main passes (Tiputa and Avatoru) creating extraordinary drift diving with grey sharks, dolphins, manta rays, and barracuda. The pink sand beaches and remote islets are spectacular.
