About Thule
Qaanaaq (formerly Thule) is the northernmost town in Greenland and one of the world's most remote communities, home to the Inughuit people. The area is famous for its extreme Arctic scenery, the persistent Thule Air Base (now Pituffik Space Base), and the traditional dog-sled culture of the northernmost Inuit community in the world. Expedition ships call in summer.
