Schengen cruise port guide
The Schengen Area is an area comprising 26 European countries that have officially abolished all passport and all other types of border control at their mutual borders. The area mostly functions as a single jurisdiction for international travel purposes, with a common visa policy.
About Schengen
Schengen is a small village in southeastern Luxembourg on the Moselle River at the intersection of Luxembourg, Germany, and France. Historically significant as the birthplace of the Schengen Agreement (signed here in 1985 on a boat in the Moselle), the town is a stop on Moselle and Rhine river cruises. The European Museum of Schengen commemorates the treaty's history.
