About San Juan Islands, Washington

The San Juan Islands are an archipelago of forested islands in Puget Sound, Washington State, between the US mainland and Vancouver Island, Canada. Known for their resident orca pods, abundant bald eagles, and unspoiled natural scenery, these islands are a popular destination for small-ship cruises. Friday Harbor on San Juan Island is the county seat and main town, accessible by ferry or float plane.
