About Sabang
Sabang is a city on Weh Island off the northern tip of Sumatra, known as Indonesia's northernmost and westernmost city. It was historically an important Dutch colonial free port and coaling station, and today offers pristine diving and snorkeling in its protected marine waters near the Malacca Strait.
Iboih Beach and Rubiah Island offer some of the best diving and snorkeling in the region. The KM 0 monument marks Indonesia's westernmost point. WWII-era Japanese fortifications and bunkers can be explored across the island.
