Pula cruise port guide
Pula (Croatia) invites you to a journey back in time. More than any other village in Croatia, Pula is a worthy heir to the Roman Empire. Timeless beauty and a truly exceptional architectural heritage is to be found here. More than anywhere else, the ancient ruins seem to have survived the centuries without having aged. You will discover in Pula a culture which dominated Europe for more than five centuries.
About Pula
Pula is the largest city of Croatia's Istrian peninsula, renowned for its remarkably preserved Roman monuments — most notably the Pula Arena, one of the world's best-preserved Roman amphitheaters. The city combines 3,000 years of history with a lively Adriatic tourism scene and a natural harbor that has served naval and commercial purposes since antiquity.
The Pula Arena is the star attraction — one of six best-preserved amphitheaters in the world, still used for concerts and events. The Forum area features the Temple of Augustus and medieval Palazzo del Comune. Brijuni National Park (nearby islands) offers a day trip combining safari wildlife and Austro-Hungarian history.
