About Propriano
Propriano is a small resort town on the southern coast of Corsica, France, nestled in the Gulf of Valinco. It is a popular tender port for cruise ships, offering passengers access to sandy beaches, the prehistoric site of Filitosa, and the rugged landscapes of southern Corsica.
The prehistoric site of Filitosa—some 20 km from the port—is the highlight for culture-minded travellers, featuring sculpted standing stones dating to the Bronze Age. The Gulf of Valinco beaches offer excellent swimming, and day trips to Ajaccio (75 km north) give passengers access to Napoleon's birthplace and the Musée Fesch's Italian masters collection.
