Take a stroll through the Seychelle National Botanical Gardens full of flora, fauna and fruit bats. Stop by the Selwyn-Clarke Market for some street shopping. Try some local Ladob, a dish that can be served either sweet or savory. Then settle in for some sun at Beau Vallon Beach or visit the Navasakthi Vinayagar hindu temple.
About Port Victoria, Seychelles
Victoria is the capital of the Seychelles, located on the northeastern coast of Mahé island in the Indian Ocean. One of the smallest capital cities in the world, it is the main cruise port of the Seychelles archipelago and gateway to some of the world's most spectacular beaches and marine environments.
Victoria itself is easily walkable: the Sir Selwyn-Clarke Market, the miniature Clock Tower (modeled on London's Victoria Tower), the natural history museum, and the bustling fishing jetty are all within 10 minutes of the port. The main cruise excursions are inter-island: a 45-minute ferry or 15-minute seaplane to Praslin for Vallée de Mai — a UNESCO-listed palm forest where the coco de mer grows — and Anse Lazio, frequently listed among the world's best beaches.
