The Pearl Islands (Archipiélago de las Perlas) are an archipelago of 90 islands and islets in the Gulf of Panama, about 50 km from Panama City. Known for their crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and excellent snorkeling and diving, they are a popular anchorage for cruise ships transiting the Panama Canal. The islands gained international fame as a filming location for the TV show Survivor.
