Krabi cruise port guide
About Krabi
Krabi, located in Krabi Province on Thailand's Andaman coast, serves as the primary mainland gateway to the Phi Phi Islands — one of Thailand's most celebrated island groups. The islands, including Ko Phi Phi Don and Ko Phi Phi Le, are accessible by ferry, speedboat, or long-tail boat from Krabi town, and lie within the protected Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park.
The Phi Phi Islands are the defining draw for visitors transiting through Krabi. Ko Phi Phi Don, the largest island at 10.27 km², offers limestone mountains, caves, clear-water beaches, and the main settlement of Ton Sai. Ko Phi Phi Le is renowned for Maya Bay, which reopened in January 2022 following a conservation closure dating from June 2018; also on Ko Phi Phi Le is the Viking Cave, a site of active edible bird's nest harvesting. The surrounding national park supports abundant coral reefs and marine life. The islands are reached via a large modern deep-water government pier at Tonsai Bay, Phi Phi Don, completed in late 2009.
