Kopar cruise port guide
Kopar
About Kopar
Kopar (officially Koper in Slovenian, Capodistria in Italian) is Slovenia's only seaport and the fifth-largest city in the country, located in the northern Adriatic Sea. The Port of Koper is the country's only container port and a major Mediterranean cruise destination. The city has a historic Old Town influenced by Venetian architecture from its centuries under Venetian rule (1279-1797).
Koper enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The best cruise season runs from April through October, with peak summer months offering the most reliable sunshine and warmest temperatures.
