About Katakolon

Katakolo (Katakolon) is a small seaside village in Elis municipality (Pyrgos), western Greece, serving as the cruise gateway to Ancient Olympia, 35-40 km to the east.

Ancient Olympia (UNESCO World Heritage Site, 35-40 km away): the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the original Olympic stadium, and the Archaeological Museum of Olympia housing the Hermes of Praxiteles.
