Inaccessible Island cruise port guide

About Inaccessible Island
Inaccessible Island is an uninhabited volcanic island in the Tristan da Cunha archipelago, part of the British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic Ocean. The islands of this group were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 and rank among the world's most isolated landmasses. Visitors require advance written approval from the territory's Administrator's office and must carry medical insurance sufficient to cover evacuation costs.
As part of the Tristan da Cunha archipelago, Inaccessible Island experiences a cool, wet climate, considerably colder and wetter than Saint Helena owing to its proximity to the Antarctic Circle. The territory observes Greenwich Mean Time year-round with no daylight saving adjustment. Costs throughout the territory run approximately 30% higher than in the United Kingdom.
