Granada cruise port guide
Granada is a city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra. This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens.
About Granada
Granada is served by the Port of Málaga, the oldest continuously-operated port in Spain, located on the Costa del Sol coast of the Mediterranean.
From Málaga, cruise passengers can visit the Alhambra palace complex in Granada via organized excursions (approximately 1.5-2 hours away). The port city itself offers the Picasso Museum, the Málaga Cathedral, and the historic city center. The IGY Málaga Marina, inaugurated 2022, accommodates superyachts up to 180 metres.
