Golubac is a village and municipality located in the Braničevo District of the eastern Serbia. Situated on the right side of the Danube river, it is bordered by Romania to the east, Veliko Gradište to the west and Kučevo to the south.

Golubac is a small town on the Danube River in northeastern Serbia, known for the medieval Golubac Fortress, a popular sightseeing point on Danube boat tours.
The Golubac Fortress is the primary attraction, notable for having successfully repelled over 120 attacks. Serbian Medieval frescoes have recently been discovered inside. The surrounding Djerdap National Park offers dramatic landscapes where the Danube narrows at the Iron Gate gorge.
