About Dardanelles and Bosporus
The Bosphorus is a natural strait in Turkey connecting the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara, and together with the Dardanelles forms the Turkish Straits. Istanbul straddles the Bosphorus and is a major cruise destination. The strait is 31km long with a minimum width of 700m.
