Cam Ranh, Vietnam cruise port guide
About Cam Ranh, Vietnam
Cam Ranh Bay is a deep natural harbor on the South Central Coast of Vietnam in Khánh Hòa Province, directly south of Nha Trang. Historically significant as a major naval base (French, Japanese, American, and Soviet/Russian), it now serves as an international cruise port and home to Cam Ranh International Airport, the gateway to Nha Trang.
The key attraction is Nha Trang, approximately 30 km north, widely considered one of the world's most beautiful bays. The city has excellent beaches, the ancient Cham Po Nagar Towers (8th century), the internationally recognized Hon Mun marine protected area for diving and snorkeling, and the Nha Trang Oceanography Institute with its aquarium. Nha Trang hosts a biennial Sea Festival.
