About Barentsoya

Barentsøya (Barents Island) is one of the major islands of the Svalbard archipelago, a 1,288 km² uninhabited island east of Edgeøya in the Barents Sea. It is a nature reserve visited primarily by expedition cruise ships exploring the remote eastern Svalbard wilderness.
