Anegada, British Virgin Islands cruise port guide
About Anegada, British Virgin Islands
Anegada is the northernmost and most remote island of the British Virgin Islands, unique among them as a flat coral island rather than volcanic. Referred to as 'the drowned island' due to its low elevation, it is ringed by extensive reefs and pristine beaches. The island is geologically distinct from the rest of the BVI group, composed of limestone and coral.
The BVI has a tropical savanna climate tempered by easterly trade winds with relatively low humidity and little seasonal temperature variation. Typical daily maxima are 32°C in summer and 29°C in winter. The wettest months are September to November; the driest are February and March. The Atlantic hurricane season runs June to November.
