Day 1 Jun 28, 2027 Dusseldorf Departs 17:00 Whether you’re strolling along one of Germany’s leading luxury shopping streets, the ‘Kö’, enjoying an Altbier fresh from the tap in one of the old town’s more than 300 pubs or discovering one of the city’s many green spaces, such as the Hofgarten, on foot, Düsseldorf has almost everything you could wish for. Most of the city’s population seems to frequent the Uerige – the archetypical Düsseldorf brewery – even though the name of the establishment comes from a local word for ‘grumpy’. Day 2 Jun 29, 2027 Nijmegen 01:00 – 13:00 12.0 hrs ashore The fortress city of Nijmegen is located near the German border and is considered the oldest city in Holland. The historic buildings in the city center as well as the many small squares and parks, some of which go back to Roman times, are worth seeing. The "Lange Hezelstraat", the oldest shopping street in Holland, is also interesting. If you feel like visiting a museum, a visit to Het Valkhof or Afrika Museum is recommended. Day 4 Jul 1, 2027 Harlingen 09:00 – 15:00 6.0 hrs ashore Lying at the mouth of the Harinxma canal in the Frise province of the Netherlands, Harlingen has always had a very close relationship with the sea. Once a whale fishing centre and today a port specialised in shrimp fishing, its dynamism has transformed it into a modern city which also offers travellers museums and sites of interest. The local museum, the Hannemahuis, is housed in an 18th Century dwelling and presents a collection of regional furniture and objects retracing the history of the city.
