Day 1 Jul 1, 2026 Dusseldorf Departs 16:00 Whether you’re strolling along one of Germany’s leading luxury shopping streets, the ‘Kö’, enjoying an Altbier fresh from the tap in one of the old town’s more than 300 pubs or discovering one of the city’s many green spaces, such as the Hofgarten, on foot, Düsseldorf has almost everything you could wish for. Most of the city’s population seems to frequent the Uerige – the archetypical Düsseldorf brewery – even though the name of the establishment comes from a local word for ‘grumpy’. Day 3 Jul 3, 2026 Mannheim 07:00 – 18:30 11.5 hrs ashore The city of Mannheim is located on the Rhine, directly across from Ludwigshafen in Baden-Württemberg. The castle is the symbol of the city and is not far from the river. But the water tower and the street carnival in February are also known for the city, which is only a few kilometers away from Heidelberg. The squares are particularly attractive. For example, the Siebengebirgsmuseum provides detailed information about the legendary mountain landscape, which is after all the oldest nature reserve in Germany. In Sea Life, visitors can experience the underwater world up close and the Nibelungenhalle is not only an architectural masterpiece but also houses a reptile zoo. Drachenburg Castle towers high up on the Drachenfels and is one of the landmarks of Königswinter. The imposing structure is reminiscent of a fairytale castle and provides a wonderful view of the region. The Hirschburg is also a historic building in this city. The historic villa is located in a quiet area in the region around the nightingale valley. A kilometer-long tunnel system called Ofenkaulen leads through the middle of the Siebengebirge. The origin of these tunnels is said to go back to the Middle Ages.
