This quote by Frankfurt’s most famous son – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe – actually comes from his play Faust (and the English translation by Bayard Taylor), but it is also a very fitting way to describe Goethe’s hometown. Frankfurt’s combination of modern skyscrapers housing major finance companies and the old town with its historic buildings and half-timbered houses is unique. Day 3 Dec 16, 2026 Wurzburg 09:30 – 17:00 7.5 hrs ashore The Bavarian city of Würzburg with its impressive buildings in Baroque and Rococo styles is definitely worth a visit. Below the Marienberg Fortress, which is well worth seeing, there are walking paths through the beautiful vineyards that stretch right down to the Main. This is where the good Franconian wine comes from in Bocksbeuteln. The Würzburg Residence is a special attraction, as is the monumental Käppele pilgrimage church. The cathedral and the striking old bridge over the Main are also special points of contact. The Haus zum Falken on the market square is built in Rococo and Gothic styles. Day 4 Dec 17, 2026 Miltenberg 14:00 – 18:00 4.0 hrs ashore The lovely town of Miltenberg entered history as early as 1237 and soon achieved considerable prosperity. On the Main loop, the small town enchants with the most beautiful half-timbered houses, the famous gate tower "Schnatterloch" and with what is probably Germany's oldest inn. Wallenstein was already staying here. Stately half-timbered gables form the unmistakable backdrop of the medieval market square. The Mildenburg towers above the idyllic town on the mountain. Up to this point the Romans had advanced to the Main and secured the strategically important place with a fort.

For the more active guests, rental bikes are available to explore the landscape individually. Come on an unforgettable trip with the VIVA ONE. Our first own new building, the VIVA ONE invites with 88 cabins up to 176 passengers on feel-good moments on board. On the diamond deck there are four luxurious suites, which with 24 m² size and a balcony (approx. 2 m²) invite you to enjoy the beautiful view. On the Diamond Deck, as well as on the Ruby Deck, there are 19 m² Junior Suites, which have a French balcony. The main part of the cabins is made up by 2-bed cabins with 16 m² size. These have French balconies on the Diamond and Ruby decks and non-opening windows on the Emerald deck. All cabins are perfectly equipped with flat-screen TV, included mini-bar, Nespresso® machine, Beauty products from RITUALS®, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, shower and toilet. From a technical and sustainable perspective, the VIVA ONE impresses with some special features and innovations. A total of 68 solar cells, distributed on both sides of the sun deck, support the on-board power system. The energy generated is also used primarily for the ship's bow thruster and for high power usage. In general, a lot of emphasis was placed on low energy consumption for lighting, pumps, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and galley and laundry equipment during the design process. The water treatment system is also state-of-the-art. Guests can refill their reusable VIVA drinking bottles at any time at two water stations in the lobby and at the bar, while VIVA glass carafes are available in the restaurant. To reduce fuel consumption, the ship features an efficient hull form, powertrain and fuel-saving autopilot to simplify navigation.
