Royal Price Tracker stopped checking cruise fares and Cruise Planner purchases on August 13. Here is what happened, whether it may return, and how to replace the alerts you relied on.
The short version: Royal Price Tracker stopped sending alerts on August 13, 2026. On August 18, its creator said the service remained temporarily offline while the team worked with counsel. There is still no return date or named counterparty. Fare trackers remain available. One hosted service now advertises Cruise Planner add-on alerts, and a free do-it-yourself script also covers them. We have not independently tested either option.

Yes, for now. Royal Price Tracker’s August 13 public notice says that all tracking services are paused and that its planned Premium launch did not go ahead. In an August 18 reply, the account that identifies itself as the service’s creator said Royal Price Tracker remained temporarily offline while the team worked with counsel.
Neither statement identifies a counterparty, describes a complaint, or gives a return date. When we rechecked on August 19, the public homepage returned a temporary HTTP 503 response. That confirms the public page was unavailable at that moment; it does not establish why the service paused or whether tracking will return.
Why did Royal Price Tracker stop working?
A legal matter is still the only reason made public. The August 18 update adds that the team is working with counsel, but it does not say that Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruises was involved.
Will my existing Royal Price Tracker alerts still work?
Do not expect alerts while tracking is paused. If you had an active watch, move it elsewhere or start checking the item yourself.
Is Royal Price Tracker coming back?

If you were tracking the price of a cruise
- Save the exact sailing, cabin type, and target fare you care about.
- Check the observation time and compare the current fare with its recent history. CruiseCaptain’s Royal Caribbean search does this across fare types. The confirmed drops page screens drops for recency, size, availability, and data quality.
- Confirm the final quote with the cruise line before changing a booking. CruiseCaptain uses TravelTek, a cruise distribution platform, not a logged-in Royal Caribbean account.
CruisePlum also offers historical fares, saved searches, a watchlist, and pricing calendars. It does not monitor Cruise Planner purchases.
If you were tracking a drink package, internet, dining, or an excursion
- Write down the dollar price you paid, including the total and any per-day price. The advertised percentage alone is a poor reference point.
- Recheck the exact item in your own Cruise Planner account. Public observations cannot account for every personalized price.
- Confirm the replacement price, availability, and cancellation terms before cancelling anything. An excursion or cabana may sell out while you rebook.
- Check what a replacement requires before signing up, especially if it asks for your cruise-line password.
Two options now claim add-on coverage. AllAboardDeals Pro advertises hosted email alerts for drink packages, WiFi, dining, and excursions in five currencies. Its public page showed an introductory price of $59 per year when checked on August 14. We have not tested the alerts, and the page did not explain the add-on price source, login requirements, or check frequency.
CheckRoyalCaribbeanPrice is a free, open-source script for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. It can check booked add-ons per passenger and send notifications when run on your own computer or server. It requires technical setup and uses your cruise-line login for booked purchases. You are responsible for storing those credentials and keeping the script running.
Manual checks remain the simplest option. They show the price in your own account and require no third-party access, but they can miss a brief sale.
CruiseCaptain does not track Cruise Planner purchases.
What should I check before using an add-on tracker?
Find out whether it needs your cruise-line login, where those credentials are stored, how often it checks, which currencies and markets it covers, and whether every alert includes a timestamp. Always verify the price in Cruise Planner before cancelling a purchase.

Which Royal Price Tracker alternative fits what you tracked?
This comparison uses each product’s public documentation. “Advertised” means the provider claims the feature. CruiseCaptain has not tested it.
Why did cruisers care about Royal Price Tracker?
The email alert was the point. It replaced the daily routine of opening Cruise Planner to check something already purchased.
Royal Price Tracker monitored drink packages, internet, dining, excursions, cabanas, spa services, entertainment, and The Key. Users described saving $21 on internet, $60 on excursions, $300 on a drink package, and more than $300 on a cabana. Those are individual reports from repricing and price-drop discussions, not typical results.
The history view supplied context for each alert. It recorded the lowest observed price for the day, so a cruiser could compare today’s offer with prices the tracker had already seen.
What else did Royal Price Tracker do?
Archived copies of its public Price History Explorer, Price Guide, and Explore hub show how far the product had expanded. It covered cabin and add-on history, high, average, and low price research, beverage and dining ranges, a drink calculator, a budget planner, ships, ports, itineraries, and sailings.
The creator’s June 10 update announced Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cabin tracking, upgraded graphs, research tools, a drink-package calculator, Explore pages, Favorites, and sailing search by one or more ports. The same thread describes feature-request voting and bug reports.
Could you trust every Royal Price Tracker alert?
- A daily check could miss a short sale. Users reported prices changing between observations, so an alert could arrive after a drop had reversed.
- The price in an account could differ from a public observation. Currency, market, loyalty status, occupancy, cabin, promotion, and the product attached to a booking could all change the result. Community discussions describe mismatched or stale prices.
- Early cabin tracking showed the lowest fare in a cabin class, often a guarantee assignment. The creator confirmed that it did not yet track the price of a selected room.
An alert was useful as a prompt to check. It was not proof that the price remained available or applied to every account.
